01What a cookie is, plainly

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so the site can recognise your browser on a later visit. Local storage does a similar job with a different mechanism: the data stays on your device and is not sent with every request.

Both are only as intrusive as what the site chooses to put in them. This page tells you exactly what we put in ours.

02What this site sets today

One item, in local storage, and only after you make a choice in the banner.

That is the complete list. No analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no social media pixel, no session cookie, no third party script that sets one.

The item never leaves your device. We cannot read it. It exists so the banner does not ask you the same question on every page.

03The categories in the banner

The banner offers three categories, because the site is built to support them the moment they are needed.

• Strictly necessary. Required for the site to work and to remember your choice. These cannot be switched off, and today this category contains only the consent record above.
• Analytics. Would tell us which pages are read and where people leave. Off unless you turn it on. Nothing in this category is active today.
• Marketing. Would measure whether a campaign reached you. Off unless you turn it on. Nothing in this category is active today.

We built the controls before we built the need for them, on the view that asking afterwards is the wrong order.

04How your choice is honoured

When you choose, the site records it and writes the result onto the page itself as a machine readable flag. Any script that would ever set an analytics or marketing cookie is gated on that flag and cannot run without it.

This means consent is enforced by the way the site is built rather than by a promise on this page.

05Changing or withdrawing your choice

Open cookie settings, or use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. The panel opens with your current choice already shown, so you can see what you previously decided.

You can also clear the item yourself in your browser settings, under site data for droyalglobal.com. Clearing it makes the banner ask again on your next visit.

06Controlling this in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data, either for all sites or for one. Look under Privacy and security in your browser settings.

Blocking site data for droyalglobal.com means the banner cannot remember your choice, so it will ask on every visit. Nothing else on the site depends on it.

07Changes to this policy

If we ever add analytics or any other optional technology, we update the table above with the exact name, purpose and lifetime before it goes live, and the banner asks you first. The date at the top tells you when this page last changed.
